This sail in Croatia is probably my most favourite thing I have done travelling.
I was fortunate enough to get a really good group of people with a diverse mix, however we instantly came together as a group of individuals on day one and were like a family by the end of the trip.
In relation to Croatia, WOW what a country. I'm sure in the winter time it's a bit different, however in summer this place is incredible. They Croatians are very welcoming and their is just a good vibe in all of the places you visit.
The night lift is great, everything is really well priced, and it's a well organised trip by Contiki.
It is much different to the European Contiki's etc, you actually get time to relax!
I will be paying Croatia another visit very shortly.

This trip was the most amazing week of my life. Croatia is stunning, and seeing it by boat is even more incredible. The trip is the perfect mix of relaxation, nightlife, and sight-seeing, and the seafood was the best I've ever tasted. Considering going on this trip again... great for solo travelers like myself, and a fantastic way to meet people all over the world. I can't say enough about my time in Croatia!

Booked this Contiki trip very last minute and it was unreal! 8 days of sailing around (in my opinion) the most beautiful country in the world. Swimming, partying, water sports, eating and enjoying the sun! Had an incredible Tour Manager Patrice who was really energetic and made sure we were always going to bars and places to eat that were hidden away and super fun! Awesome combination of small and quiet islands to larger islands. On board meals were great, too much food to finish any of the meals. Heaps of solo travelers on the boat (myself included). Could not fault this trip at all!!

I took this trip back in June 2013 but just now I'm getting around to writing a review. I had an absolute blast on this trip. The lodging in Split was OK but it wasn't expensive so I was perfectly content with it. The trip itself is amazing because Emma our tour guide was always organized and updating us on info for the day... aka tour options, dinner plans, best photo ops of the stop, etc... There were plenty of people to party with or lay low- something for everyone.

This trip had it all; relaxation, sightseeing, nightlife, and free time. If you were to take the best of the Caribbean, Europe, and the Mediterranean, mix them together, you get Croatia. This is a great tour to travel alone or with someone. You meet plenty of people, see loads of beautiful places, swim in crystalline waters and eat amazing foods. Although it wasn't my first travel experience, it was my first with Contiki and I was blown away with the quality and caliber of travel experience. Do not hesitate in booking this trip! You will not be disappointed. If you do this trip, plan to bring cash, it's a lot easier than dealing with credit cards because most places didn't accept them.

I am a 32 year old female and I have to say I was a bit worried that I would end up with a bunch of 22 year old partiers. But this is NOT Croatian Island Cruising. Don't get me wrong, there was the opportunity (and many took it) to stay up until 5 am every night at the best clubs in Croatia. But there was also the opportunity to enjoy some wine, hit the bars and still be in bed before 3 am. I really enjoyed the group I was with, it was diverse....22 year olds, young couples, groups of women, us single gals and of course the crazy Australian boys.
I went alone and had no problems immediately making friends. The accommodations were above my expectations. The travel guide was great, the sailing beautiful, the staff helpful, food delicious on the boat and overall I would highly recommend this trip - especially to women traveling alone in their early 30s!

This cruise was absolutely amazing! I can't say enough good things about it... It was my first time traveling alone in Europe and contiki made it such a great experience. I stayed an extra night in Split before the tour started which was a good decision and I didn't have to worry about missing the boat. I met a couple of girls through the website and we organised to meet the night before the tour started and had a great night out in Split.
The tour was really well organised. The tour guide (Ryan) was awesome and really knowledgeable about Croatia. He gave us just the right amount of history mixed with useful information about places to eat, party, find internet, ATMs etc. Each day the boat would start cruising at about 7-8am and would sail most of the day. Breakfast was served pretty early in the mornings and usually most people wouldn't go as they were sleeping in due to partying the night before. Because of this we had to wait until lunch was served which sometimes left us starving so I recommend smuggling some snacks into your cabin!! The food on board was really nice, they catered well for vegetarians and there was plenty of food. The seafood was especially exceptional. The boat would dock at 3-5pm each evening which was enough time for exploring the town, having dinner and a good night in the town. Many of the places the boat stops are only small so although it doesn't sound like tonnes of time it was enough. The tour spends an extra day in Dubrovnik which is cool because there is lots to do/see there!
During the day when traveling on the boat there is at least 1 swim stop where the boat pulls into a nice bay and anchors so everyone can go swimming! This is a great time to cool off in the sea... the water is very salty so it's easy to just float around
Drinks on board were purchased from the bar and each person/room had a tab. This seemed to be a good system but meant you had to try and budget some money to pay off the tab at the end of the week so keep that in mind. Also it is expected that you tip the tour guide and boat crew at the end of the trip which was a bit on an unexpected cost
Somethings I would recommend doing include:
Climb up to the fortress in Hvar - the view is breathtaking!
Jump off the roof of the boat
Walk the city walls in Dubrovnik
Do the guided walking tour in Dubrovnik
Silent disco in Split
Party in the cave in Makarska

This was easily the most amazing week of my life. I would recommend this to people of all ages. I was with the best group of people that fit in to all age brackets and have made life long friends. Croatia is STUNNING and as soon as we heard the anchor being thrown into the ocean for a swim stop, we'd be up and out of our beds and jumping into the water.
Every single second was amazing, we swan, tanned, partied and made the closest friends.
