This trip was amazing!!!! I was a little worried that this would be alot of partying and i wouldn't get to see much of the country. However this was not the case! There was a few very quiet nights and there was plenty of drunken nights. But mostly you could decide what you wanted to do which was good for me as i was sick the entire time! This tour is very laid back. If you don't want to do something, you don't have to. And you can hop on and off where you want (as long as it's booked)!
The optionals were great! So many options. I had a seriously difficult time choosing.
Accommodation was a variety. Mostly hotels but there was a few back packers.
The crew was AMAZING!! One of the best parts for sure! They really do make you feel like a big family!
You are travelling all day on a bus and it's not too bad in the North Island. South Island the trips get longer but the scenery makes up for it.
The people i met on the tour were great. We were not split into groups and we bonded after only a few days. I liked the option of choosing who you share your room with each night as you can make plenty of friends. I have made so many life long friends on this trip. Most were from Australia but there was a handful from other parts of the world.
Best part? I can't decide. I loved the South Island as the country is so beautiful and plenty of snow in Aug/Sept. Queenstown stands out for me as we had 4 days to do whatever we wanted and there is so much to do!
I would completely recommend this tour. It has the right amount of partying, relaxation, adventure and culture. New Zealand is amazing. That was the 2nd time i had gone, and im looking foward to the next time i get to see the land of the long white cloud.
