We went on the Northern Adventure for our Honeymoon and absolutely loved it! What an amazing way to see America and (thanks to our wonderful driver Jerry) it also ensured we weren't divorced by the end of it as there was no arguing about directions, parking or map-reading!

It was fast paced and we saw some fantastic sights. Bryce Canyon was probably my favourite, but my other highlights included white water rafting along a very swollen Shoshone River (where you'll find out what Shoshone means!) and a breath-taking helicopter ride into the Grand Canyon. The group 'surprise' was well worth the few dollars, and I'll never forget my horse ride in the Black Hills of Dakota.

Our guide, Drew, was fantastic - he was very knowledgeable and we always found his chat/spiel/info really interesting. Good choice of music and a fab day song, though must say he had a questionable taste in dvds! He is just a downright likeable and incredibly cool guy. And no, he didn't pay me $$ to say that!

We met a great bunch of people on tour and made a few really good friends.

At 36 I wondered if I was too old for Contiki, but definitely not! Got a good few Contiki years left in me yet before I have to travel with the 'Antique-y' brigade!
