According to the stories, Au Pied de Cochon has never switched off its ovens or lights, or locked its doors, since opening way back in 1946. Yep, this is no joke 24-hour action – but not in the 24 hour party people kind of way you might expect.
If you’re interested in getting really French, Au Pied de Cochon has one of the city’s best onion soups, as well as really great pomme frites and crepes. It’s a Paris institution.
It’s a little pricey, but definitely worth it for your full Paris experience: decadent, lavish, rich and swanky.
Au Pied de Cochon is at 6 rue Coquillière, Paris.
