Call us excessively patriotic, but we’ve been salivating at the mouth over Australia these past couple of weeks. We’ve been dreaming of basking in a hammock on Hamilton Island and regretting that we’ve never been to that big Red Rock.

All this patriotism got us thinking about The Cat Empire. We so proud they're ours and excitement about their new studio album, ‘Steal the Light’, is sky high.

Set to hit our airwaves on the 10th of May, this is the band’s first fully independent worldwide release. It began its conception in the European summer of 2011, when vocalist Felix Riebl was in Athens. The ideas continued to germinate following a tour of the USA, when Felix fulfilled a long-time dream and attended the New Orleans Jazz Festival.

So needless to say this album is going to be entangled with the sparkling lights of world travel, backed up with the sweet undertones of Australian gold.
