If you haven’t already heard of Gonzales, let’s just say that you’ve been missing out. We’re not mad, but you should definitely Google him immediately.

Paris-based Gonzales (aka Chilly Gonzales, aka Jason Beck) is a Canadian musician who is best known for his electro records and production. But it would seem that Mr Gonzales is also a very capable pianist too.

He’s just released a version of the piano solo in Drake’s melancholy ‘Marvin’s Room’ and while it’s different from the one used in the album version of the song, it’s just as heart-wrenching.

It’s short, but it’s pretty wonderful.

We’re not sure, but suspect that this will appear on Gonzales’ upcoming album Piano Solos II.
