Die Antwoord ‘Baby’s on Fire’

In true Die Antwoord style, the video for their track ‘Baby’s on Fire’ from their second studio album Ten$ion is a bit demented.

The kind of Jack and Meg White relationship that Yo-Landi and NINJA purvey – sometimes a little brother/sister, sometimes romantic – takes on its sibling version here. NINJA gets protective when Yo-Landi’s boyf appears, and she ends up giving him a knuckle sandwich.

Aesthetically, it’s fabulous. Lots of pinks and yellows and a kind of My Little Pony vibe saturates the video. Weird, but we’re getting used to it.
