Disco the Parakeet

Is this real?

Disco-detail_full_for_exchange

We are equal parts amazed and perplexed by this.

Honestly, we cannot figure out whether this real life or some internet troll pulling our collective leg.

Disco the Parakeet can, apparently, do everything: s/he can beatbox, sing, imitate other animals, and speak multiple languages.

This little green and yellow birdy is more talented than some full-grown human adults we know.

Hi - I am Disco's owner, and yes, he's real. Parakeets (budgies) are small, but very capable speakers (they mimic) if owners spend a lot of time with their bird, don't have other birds of the same species with them, and, generally, they have a male bird. We got Disco at a young age, which also helps - the younger they are, the easier it is for them to learn/mimic. :)

This is not Disco's most recent video - this one is, and it's pretty funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCFNyKNNpNE&feature=g-upl
