Crave

El Tigre, Madrid

Famous for a reason.

Eltigre-detail_full_for_exchange

By all accounts El Tigre (ie: the best name for a venue ever) in Madrid is less of a restaurant and more of a pub or dining room or mess hall – mainly due to the hustle, bustle and general mayhem that occurs here nightly. It’s certainly not super high-end table dining.

But you know us, we like anything that involves food. Or that is free. And this place serves you complimentary tapas.

Just be prepared to potentially eat standing up, with people’s elbows in your ribs. Seriously though, get there early to score a table (before 7:30pm) and order from the menu too – the potatas bravas, chicken wings, stuffed mushrooms, chorizo, or take some tips from your server.

There are incredibly cheap drinks, so try a local cider or a glass of sangria.

The later it gets, the busier and rowdier it is. So if you’re not in the mood for a party, we recommend heading to El Tigre for lunch or an afternoon beer.

El Tigre is at Calle Infantas 30, Madrid.
