The Drake and Aaliyah song we mentioned on the Exchange a few weeks ago was released a little while back now, but ever since (and even earlier, actually) there have been rumours swirling about an entire record being released posthumously by Aaliyah.
Apparently the album will feature production from Jefferey J-Dub Walker, cameos from Drake, and frequent collaborators Missy Elliott and Timbaland.
It’s a long time since Aaliyah’s (aka Aaliyah Dana Haughton) death and there have been stories about Aaliyah’s vocals being used a billion times, but it looks like something's finally brewing.
Now we just have to ask the question: is this a good idea? If Missy and Timbaland are part of it, we’re certainly reassured.
