Etam Cru in Vienna

At Inoperable gallery.

Etam-detail_full_for_exchange

Inoperable Gallery is run by Nicholas Platzer, and it is focused on street art, pop art, surrealism, and so-called lowbrow art.

Vienna isn’t exactly known for the aforementioned art genres (you certainly think of more traditional and classic styles, right?) but the gang at Inoperable is determined to spread the love for the art that they’re interested.

Coming up is a show that features work by the Poland-based Etam Cru. Etam Cru is responsible for some pretty spectacular large-scale street pieces. Colourful, and oftentimes pretty surreal, these images burst from the dull, grey walls on which they’re painted.

It’ll be interesting to see what ends up inside, having seen what EC does outdoors.

Inoperable Gallery is at Burggasse 24, 1070 Vienna.
