Ladies and gentlemen-fond-of-gentlemen. Three weeks ago, heaven officially descended upon us. The clouds parted, the angles got out their harps and a higher being presented the people of Australia with Father John Misty, aka Josh Tillman, the former drum god of Fleet Foxes. We deserved it. We'd waited for so long in those cold shadows to see a man move his hips like that. Hell it was probably Elvis who last turned our cheeks that crimson and managed to crumble us so quickly to our knees. Apparently, Father John brought an incredible backup band with him too. Sadly, very few who attended his shows across the country can actually recall. We were all far too busy picking our jaws up off the ground and searching for a cool face cloth. Life pretty much sucks for the backup band. Not even their quirky get up, rock star on stage personas and unwavering enthusiasm could get them some limelight. If you didn't get along to one of the shows, you poor unfortunate possum.
