The Uniting Church of Enthusiasm, The Polyphonic Spree, have prematurely/unofficially announced themselves as part of this year's Splendour In The Grass lineup. Frontman Tim DeLaughter divulged the news during a Twitter conversation with local music photographer Heath Carney last week, saying "we'll be there for splendor" as well as a number of sideshows.

If all comes to fruition, the tour will mark the Dallas band's second appearance at Splendour since their maiden voyage in 2008. The Kickstarter enabled followup to their 2007 studio album, The Fragile Army, is slated for release this year.
