For almost 20 years now, Friends International has been working hard to build futures for some of the most marginalised children & youth in the world, focusing on countries like Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Honduras, and Egypt. Being the global travellers that we are, we feel it's our moral obligation to get behind organisations like this whenever we can, in any way we can. Friends International has a unique approach to supporting the underprivileged - they open restaurants and cafes in tourist hotspots so that youngsters can be trained and skilled in the hospitality industry, opening doors for a brighter future. Contiki's Asian Adventure and Big Indochina tours both give passengers the option to dine at the infamous "Friends the Restaurant" in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Not only do you get to tucker in to some top notch local cuisine, you can feel good knowing you're supporting the local community. What a win. Can't get to Asia right this second? Show your support to this damn fine organisation by giving them your big thumbs up on Facebook.
