Separately Grimes, Kreayshawn and Blood Diamonds do some pretty fun things. So it makes sense that the trio wanted team up (along with Tragik) and see how far they could take it.

The foursome have called themselves L$D and have just released a track that’s pretty nonsensical. Their song ‘Don’t Smoke my Blunt Bitch’ was apparently recorded in just ten minutes and is a total stream on conscious.

This isn’t a track that has been planned or considered too much. Half of Kreayshawn’s lyrics are literally “blah blah blah” and Grimes does some squealing.

Whether you like it or not, this style of release (not actual style of music, but the vibe of the release) is getting super-common. It’s a kind of homemade, Tumblr-girl, rebel yell, thing.

Be warned: there is some Macarena involved.
