If ever there has been a strange celebrity friendship, it’s the Gwyneth Paltrow / Jay-Z one. Evidently, the dude from Brooklyn who used to hustle for money is BFFs with the white privileged girl from California.
So much so that Jay-Z (aka Sean Carter) got Gwyneth to curate a summer playlist for his website Life & Times.
While it contains slightly more predictable artists including Grimes and Beach House, there’s also plenty of hip hop. And not hip hop lite – it seems Gwyneth has some decent taste in rap.
She includes Dr Dre and Kendrick Lamar, Juicy J, Frank Ocean, French Montana featuring Rick Ross, Drake and Lil Wayne.
There’s also some great songs from Hot Chip and the very excellent Neon Indian.
