Sao Paulo, Brazil is home to fine artist Herbert Baglione, but for the next month, Bogota Museum of Contemporary Art in Colombia is the home of a bunch of his artworks.
The show, Obituary, includes paintings, photographs and installations that Baglione has embellished and made a lot, lot creepier than we they started out.
Traditional portraits of dignified looking gentlemen have been toyed with, drawn and painted on to make them look like they’ve been possessed by the devil.
The show also, fascinatingly, displays recreations of Baglione’s drawings and artworks he did as a three-year-old child. It’s all a little dark and strange, which is certainly not a terrible thing.
Bogota Museum of Contemporary Art is at Carrera 74, 824-81, Bogota.
