The first thing you think of when given the word “Seoul” probably isn’t vintage-vibed cafes.
Hoho Myoll though – a café in South Korea’s capital – is exactly that. It’s a whimsical, dreamy place that is smothered in childhood memories. With vintage bikes, ET dolls, trucks, Shrek figurines, and old magazines, it’s part pop culture museum, part café.
Adding to the kitschy cute is the hand-written and decorated menu, which includes
predictable café treats like quiches, sandwiches, cakes, coffee and tea.
Whatever you think about the food, it’s worth a look to see the vintage Volkswagen van in the joint!
Hoho Myoll is at 93-44 Sangsu-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
