How To Dress Well (aka Tom Krell) never disappoints. Ever.

Krell has clearly been inspired – once again – by ‘90s R&B on his new one, called ‘& It Was U’. There are touches of boy-band harmonies and decadent moments that mimic awe-inspiring ballads of yesteryear from the likes of Prince.

But there are also a lot of other influences smothering the song. And while it’s quite minimal, there are soaring moments and big beefy bass drums. It’s a layered affair, which is something Krell has a knack for.

With every song How To Dress Well leaks (we’ve already heard ‘Ocean Floor For Everything’) anticipation for Total Loss – which is set for release this month – builds and builds.
