There are a lot of things we love about How To Dress Well (aka Tom Krell).

We could try to make a list of all the things we love about the Brooklyn-based experimental/ethereal/R&B/pop producer and singer, but that will take too long so we’ll go with one of our top five.

Somewhere in the top five (we’re not sure where exactly) is HTDW’s obsession with Janet Jackson. It seems that every mixtape he makes Janet features at least once. He loves her, and we love him for that.

This time he’s sharing his adoration for Janet Jackson by covering her song ‘Again’ from her 1993 album Janet. As always, HTDW has brought something entirely other-worldly to his reimagining; it’s magical and blissful and at the same time, totally melancholy and depressing.

It’s a beautiful bummer.

Bonus: This morning when we Tweeted how happy his Janet Jackson devotion makes us, HTDW wrote back “I’m just happy you’re happy.”
