Jeremy Scott for Longchamp

The Postcard bag...

Luxury French accessories brand, Longchamp, has become famous for its beautiful leather handbags, shoes, scarves and jewellery, but is probably best recognised by its Le Pilage tote - the perfect handbag for travel, work and play. Founded in 1948, Longchamp has debuted some truly beautiful designs and has never been afraid to push the boundaries. Longchamp has an element of ‘cool’ about it that is quite uncommon for a luxury fashion house and has a longstanding tradition of working with contemporary artists and designers. The brand offers up its bags as a blank canvas to artists, giving them a unique avenue of self-expression and the opportunity for the brand to give back to the art world.

This season, Longchamp have worked with American fashion designer, Jeremy Scott, for his unique spin on the legendary Le Pilage design. Known for his flashy prints and quirky designs, together Jeremy has created the ‘Postcard’ bag, which has quickly become the new must-have for SS12. Brightly emblazoned with the words ‘Greetings from Paradise, The Land of Sunshine’, the handbag showcases a cocktail of colours (signature for Jeremy), exotic scenery, hot sun and golden sand... almost daring you to run away to somewhere far far away. The back side of the tote features a postcard from with Jeremy’s portrait as the postage stamp and the message ‘Wish you were here!’ Ah, seriously guys stop it!!!

Combining two of our loves - fashion and travel, the ‘Postcard’ bag is perfect for taking away with you on your adventure. It’s a great size for fitting in all the travel necessities and its fun and quirky design means there’ll be no confusion of whose luggage is whose.

The ‘Postcard’ bag has been getting rave reviews from the fashion world and featured in some of the top magazines and blogs. At £190 it’s certainly not cheap but is the perfect travel bag and would make a great going away present from the work bunch who are unsure of what to get you (start dropping the hints). The ‘Postcard’ bag is available online at or at select Longchamp stores.
