Even if you’re not 100% sure, chances are you’ve seen and/or heard Larry Clark’s work. And, if you’re in Berlin any time before August 12th, you can see a bunch more of it, IRL.
The legendary photographer and filmmaker (he’s partly responsible for Kids) has an exhibition of his work at C/O Berlin, the International Forum for Visual Dialogues and it’s full of his trademark porcelain-skinned debauchery.
Clark seems a little obsessed by adolescence, beauty and weird stuff – just about anything that taints said adolescence and beauty; drugs, filth, and kind of messed up behaviour. That strange moment when you’re not quite a kid, not quite an adult, and your innocence is waning.
The exhibition shows his photography and video work. Get there if you can.
