Lucky Coq, Melbourne.

Pizza gone fancy.

If you are looking for a cheap and hip place to eat in Melbourne, Lucky Coq is the place to go. They have thin crust pizzas generously heaped with toppings ranging from the good old margherita to strange pizzas such as "Poncho", which is basically a bowl of nachos topped onto a pizza base. Yes, it tastes as good as it sounds.

The pizzas are delicious and there are plenty of vegetarian options (which i have found quite difficult to find on pizzas). It is also a great place to chill out with its cosy atmosphere.

The bar is decorated with beheaded mannequins, old truck parts, arcade games and mismatched vintage furniture. There is also a photobooth and pool table for entertainment. With pizzas at only $4 during (generous) happy hours, quirky decor and a flowing bar, Lucky Coq is one of the coolest places to visit on Chapel street at all hours.
