Usually when you visit a gallery there’s a certain amount of space that needs to be left between you and the priceless artworks. The even have alarms. They even have security guards saying “Miss, please step back from the Pollock.”
Your inner-child will have a ball though, at the Magic Art exhibition in Hangzhou, China.
This exhibition encourages viewers to interact with the art – touch it, pose with it, really enjoy it. More than that even, these artworks only truly come alive when they’re interacted with.
Created by 15 Korean artists, the works are kind of trompe l’oeil: you can pose as though you’re extinguishing a dragon’s flaming breath, or as though you’re inside a Great White shark’s mouth.
Pretty cool, pretty fun.
The Magic Art show is at the Peace International Exhibition and Conference centre, Shaoxing Road, Hangzhou, China.
