Crave

Max Fish, New York

Long live the Fish.

Maxfish-detail_full_for_exchange

For a while last year it was rumoured that Lower East Side landmark Max Fish was closing. Even the owners said so. Thankfully, somebody somewhere saved the LES dive bar.

If you’re trying to impress somebody with fancy cocktails and caviar, don’t go to Max Fish. But if you’re up for shots, a game of pool or some party-pashing in a booth – this is definitely the spot for you.

Max Fish is a notorious dive bar – not that it’s a total hole or anything; the bar staff is friendly and generous with their pours, the clientele is babe-town, and the music is always loud.

We recommend a big dinner and then claim a booth at Max Fish’s – it’s perfect for hanging out with passers-by or a little people watching.

Max Fish is on Ludlow Street, LES, New York.
