Mercat Del Encants, Barcelona

On the market.

Mercat Del Encants is one of Barcelona’s largest and most popular flea markets – so if you’re up for some serious searching and thrifting, you will be in seventh heaven.

No matter what you want to buy, you will find it at one of the many stalls here – from clothing to jewellery, antiques, homewares, crafty bits and pieces and weird stuff you will have never seen before.

Serious shoppers arrive super-early and sift through all kinds of goodies, but you can wander at a less high-pressure pace later in the day. Bargaining is welcomed, just remember not to be a tight-arse about it, but don’t get ripped off either!

If you’re interested in larger or more rare pieces (furniture, jewellery, etc) there is are also two auctions each day – at 7am and midday.

Trash, treasure and everything between.

Mercat Del Encants is at C Dos de Maig, 186, Barcelona.
