It appears no one is immune to the wrath of cyber bullies, with international icon of perfection Miranda Kerr being the subject of the latest online attack. The supermodel MILF is in talks with police after her personal email account was hacked and threats were made to both her and her family, maybe even her adorable impossibly chic toddler Flynn.
Kerr was making her first appearance as the new face of Kids Help Line last week, shortly before she tweeted: “Just with the cyber crime unit. Whoever hacked my account, expect a knock on the door very soon…” sounding a little threaty herself.
The nature of the threats have not been made clear by Kerr, but NSW Fraud and Cybercrime Squad head Detective Superintendent Col Dyson has told the Herald Sun police are investigating the issue.
“[Kerr] informed us of what she believed was a hacking incident, which is now being investigated… We have contacted her service provider and are now trawling through her account as part of our inquiry.”
On Wednesday, Kerr attended a Unilever breakfast at Bondi’s The Pacific where she remained defiant against her cyber-bullies, issuing a threat of her own.
"It’s just one of those unpleasant things that can make you feel quite violated," Kerr said. "They’re going to wish they’d never done this."
Yes. And for what purpose was this hackery even endeavoured in the first place? As we all know, to access nude photos of Miranda Kerr, all one needs do is type her name into the search bar on Pedestrian TV.
