British singer/rapper M.I.A. has announced a few details regarding her upcoming fourth studio album.

She announced in Twitter that followers could ask her questions about the record and she would answer the ten she liked the best. From that stream of questions we now know that the album – according to her – will sound like “Paul Simon on acid”.

M.I.A.’s favourite lyric on the record is: “Truth is like a rotten tooth, you gotta spit it out!”

She also took a not-so-subtle shot at her ex-friend, ex-boyfriend, ex-producer, Diplo when she said that all the producers she worked with for this record are “ones that don’t act like fame whore coloniser[s]”.

The album, which is set for release in December, will apparently be offered up alongside a book, a documentary and an art exhibition.
