Nicolas Le Borgne aka Odo

Painting pictures and tattoos.

Odo-detail_full_for_exchange

Nicolas Le Borgne aka Odo is a French painter and illustrator whose works appear not just on paper and canvas – but also on people’s flesh.

(What a compliment it must be to have somebody have your creation permanently inked on their body.)

Odo’s work is a little dark and sinister, but still entirely stunning. He often centres on childlike, big eyed beauties that are entangled with hair, chains, bones and all kinds of twisted things.

There are classic tattoo art motifs – daggers, lovehearts, crosses and skulls – all mixed together with some odd shapes and critters; namely a zombie-like Bart Simpson or a warped Mario.

If you’re in Paris right now (you lucky bastard) you can see his work in real life as part of the Enfants Terribles II group show, which is on now.
