Byron Bay has the just-passed Splendour in the Grass, and San Francisco has the Outside Lands Festival.

Taking place at the Golden Gate Park, the festival runs from Friday August 10th until Sunday the 12th and features performances from some super-huge big deals in music.

It’s headlined by a wonderfully diverse bunch: Metallica, Stevie Wonder, Jack White, Foo Fighters, Beck, Justice, Sigur Ros. There are a billion more performers to play too: The Kills, Passion Pit, Big Boi, Bloc Party, Santigold, Die Antwoord, Alabama Shakes, Zola Jesus, Yacht, Tame Impala… We could go on, but we’d be for a while.

But Outside Lands Festival isn’t just a music festival, it’s a feast for all your pleasures. It’s a music, food, beer, wine and art festival – so you don’t have to traipse through the few days buying over-priced lolly drinks and soggy fries.
