Professional photographer and time-lapse specialist Mayeul Akpovi has made a video of Paris. A kind of ‘day in the life’ style time-lapse video that shows the busy, business side of the city, but certainly doesn’t ignore the romantic, clichéd version either.

Thousands and thousands of images have been put together to paint a pretty gorgeous view of the city.

We visit the Louvre, Notre Dam, metro stations and various city streets but (as expected) the main event is the Eiffel Tower.

Even more cliché, perhaps, is just how pretty the Tower really is at night – even with its light show that the ‘real’ Parisians apparently think is awfully tacky.

We’re suckers for a cliché. Sue us.
