We love that Petals and Peacocks has called its summer 2012 collection Hot and Bothered, mostly because it’s such a mum-style saying, but also because let’s not forget how sweltering and exhausting summer can actually be in reality. (Though in the depths of winter it is a light at the end of a dark and miserable tunnel.)
We also generally love Petals and Peacocks because the designers don’t seem to take themselves too seriously, and that’s not to say their output is sloppy, it’s just not high fashion – it’s all a little tongue-in-cheek.
This season we like the Nirvana logo rip and the non-smiley face tee-shirt. Basically it’s a bunch of ‘80s and ‘90s nostalgia given the Petals and Peacocks twist. Good fun, but don’t wear the ‘Stoned’ tee-shirt in front of your grandma.
