Crave

Pizzeria Delfina, San Francisco

A neighbourhood favourite.

Delfina-detail_full_for_exchange

Craig and Anne Stoll’s Pizzeria Delfina opened up back in 2005 and ever since has been a favourite with locals and tourists. There’s rarely a time of day that diners won’t have to wait (just a minute) for a table.

The food and wine at the bright and airy restaurant is all high quality, but the vibe at Delfina is just the right balance between ritzy and casual. The staff is super-friendly, but still knowledgeable and efficient.

The food, meanwhile: traditional Italian with just a few little twists here and there. The pizzas are on homemade dough that is super-yum. We suggest the Pepper Pie (made with Jimmy Nardello peppers, anchovies, mozzarella, panna and capers) but if you’re scared of anchovies (a lot of people are, you’re not alone) there are so many other delicious options.

Pizzeria Delfina is at 3621 18th Street, San Francsico.
