Planet Blue summer 2012 collection

Flashy surfies.

Planetblue-detail_full_for_exchange

Planet Blue sounds like a not-for-profit organisation in which people wander around beaches picking up trash, but it’s not. (Not that that would be a bad thing.)

Planet Blue is, in fact, a ladies’ fashion label based in Malibu. Founded back in 1995, the brand has been growing and growing and creates full cut-n-sew lines each season.

The vibe is a blend of flashy surfer, LA boho, hippie and minx. Which, we realise, doesn’t sound like it makes sense or would work aesthetically. But guess what? It really does.

This season, however, PB has avoided the metallic blazers and sequin shorty-shorts and opted for a much more casual tone. There are lots of tanks with bold graphics, shorts, tasseled tee-shirts and an all ‘round laid back style.
