Crave

Raffles, Phnom Penh

Old school fancy.

Raffles-detail_full_for_exchange

Raffles is one of the world’s most respected hotels. It might not be as well known as the Hilton or the Sheraton, but it’s still a pretty big deal.

Raffles has hotels in Singapore, Cambodia, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles and Paris.

The Raffles organisation began restoration in 1994 on two grand historic hotels in Cambodia: Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh and Grand Hotel d'Angkor in Siem Reap.

The Raffles in Cambodia’s Phnom Penh is a really interesting place. It’s incredibly grand and gorgeous, and a little out of place in the mostly basic buildings of the city.

While we might not all be able to afford to stay there, or even visit the luxe spa, the light and airy venue is a beautiful place to sit in the afternoon and sip a gin and tonic and look over the river, or to eat a super-delicious dinner.
