Riot Fest has been going for eight years now and has travelled to many a fine city: Dallas, Brooklyn, Chicago and across the border to Toronto.

It’s a fairly unknown festival (at least, unknown outside of the United States and Canada) but has boasted some pretty impressive performers including Danzig, Jay Reatard, Weezer, NOFX, Iggy Pop and the Stooges – it’s a big deal.

The next Riot Festival is in Brooklyn, NY and will be held at the borough’s most famous and best-loved outdoor venue: the Williamsburg Waterfront Park.

While the outdoors means that you’ll be at the mercy of the weather gods, it’s totally worth it to look across the water to the skyline of Manhattan.

So, here’s the line-up: the very excellent Gorgol Bordello, Descendents, Hot Water Music, The Bronx, Screaming Females and a bunch more.

Sounds like a riot. (Sorry, we had to.)
