Add to the list of things that would be difficult to explain to your grandmother: the concept of pop-up hotels.
(We love you, grandmothers!)
But really, the Design Hotels initiative is a pretty amazing idea. In 2011 they launched their first project – a temporary retreat in Tulum, Mexico. And now they’ve unveiled their San Giorgio pop-up in Mykonos, Greece.
This place looks exactly what we imagine Heaven looks like. It’s pristinely white, set against the crystal blue backdrop of the Mykonos sky, and is all ‘60s lines and angles, with a bohemian and carefree decorative aesthetic.
While the hotel was alive and kicking during the ‘90s, this reworking of it is nothing short of spectacular.
