Shakespeare and the word “swagger”

Language is fun! (Really.)

Whether you believe stories about Shakespeare being a real writer or a dude who had a really clever ghostwriter (or several ghostwriters) about 1700 words in the English language have been attributed to him.

Homeboy invented almost two thousand words.

One of those words is “swagger”; a little gem that has a real definition, but was hijacked and abbreviated by that gang Odd Future. So next time you get snarky about the kids yelling “SWAG! SWAG! SWAG! SWAG!” you can really place your blame with Shakespeare.
