Sugarfish is not playing around. This is serious sushi.
According to the website: Sugarfish is based around the philosophy of sushi chef Kazunori Nozawa who “shuns ‘American-style’ extravagant rolls and fusion dishes”.
And it’s true. Sugarfish is some of the most simple, but certainly more delicious sushi ever. Very few ingredients, but incredible produce and seafood means that you’ll savour every bite of your meal. Not kidding.
There’s a menu, but the staff suggests you go with the Trust Me set menus – all of the dishes are chosen by the chef (but you get a pretty good idea beforehand) according to what’s in season.
But a word of warning: if the menu and/or waiter suggests you don’t put soy or wasabi with a certain dish, listen to them. Or be prepared for their death stare if you ignore them.
