New York really seems to be the capital of everything, including street art.

Swampy is a prolific street artist who has managed to remain a bit of a mystery. What we can tell you is he is from California (maybe, maybe not: we also read that he’s from Atlanta!) but his artworks span the USA.

Most recently his work was spotted in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

All black and white, the piece is pretty huge and is basically a sketchbook style mural. There are yin yangs, stars, lightning bolts, crystals, love-hearts and Swampy’s trademark characters.

The artist has stated though, that he doesn’t want the work to become “Tumblr ammo”, so if you’re thinking of sharing it on your Tumby page, think again.
