The Basketball Tree in Nantes, France

Designed by A/LTA Architects.

Basketballtree-detail_full_for_exchange

Who enjoys their workout with a side of design? You’re not going to get this kind of a thrill at the gym, we’re pretty sure.

A/LTA Architects members Jean-Luc le Trionnaire, Alain Tassot, Maxime le Trionnaire and Gwénaël le Chapelain have worked together to design the Basketball Tree (or ‘arbre a basket’).

It’s a creation that isn’t only a pretty stung addition to the courts at the Maison Des Hommes et Des Techniques in Nantes, it’s also super functional. Instead of just a couple of hoops available on the court, now there are five – so more people can play at the same time.

Plus the hoops are at different heights, so it caters to people of all ages, heights, and abilities.

This is taking street-ball to a whole new level of excellent.

The Basketball Tree is at Boulevard Léon Bureau, 44200 Nantes, France.
