The Lumineers play David Letterman.

We're proud as punch.

It always gives us that warm and fuzzy feeling when one of our favourite indie folk groups starts climbing the frightfully high ladder to music stardom. Despite an inevitable jack-up in ticket prices, thousands more to cram past at their concerts and the chance their egos will surpass their talent, we still give a mighty high 5 and wish them the best.

So may be the case for US indie folk trio The Lumineers, with 2012 seeing them jump out of the shadows and into the limelight of the Billboard200. They have earned a swathe of fans in the wake of their massive single “Ho Hey”, snagging themselves a spot on The Tonight Show with David Letterman last week.

Something tells us these kids will keep their egos under wraps. And we’ll enjoy basking in the glory of paying sweet screw all to watch them play Meadowlark in Denver back before they got big. Go get ‘em, tigers.
