Do not go here if you’re in the mood for a few beers and boisterous behaviour.

The Violet Hour is a swanky place, for swanky people. (Or, at least, people who want to pretend to be swanky for a night, like us.)

This bar is beautifully designed and the cocktails match. There ain’t no half-stepping here. Try the Dark and Stormy (lime and ginger syrup, yum), and the El Topo (cucumber and strawberry, yum) and the Violet Hour version of a Pimms Cup.

Actually, just try whatever you like, but make sure you keep yourself nice. This is a ritzy joint, after all!
