The Wheels on the Bus

Summer Approved.

Rockabus-detail_full_for_exchange

We realise we’ve written about a few things in New York recently, but we couldn’t save this one for another moment.

People don’t associate New York with beaches, but as the summer begins dwindling in the Northern Hemisphere, you better start now! Rockaway Beach and Fort Tilden Beach are not too far from the centre of the city, but were kind of tricky to get to (especially since nobody in NY has cars) until now.

But a few very clever mates started the Rockabus – one of those classic yellow school buses that will take gangs to and from the beach every weekend. The buses leave at two-hour intervals from Brooklyn to Rockaway and Fort Tilden.

It costs just $15 for a round-trip; you can buy your tickets online and meet a bunch of buddies on the way while you sing ‘The Wheels on the Bus’. (We don’t recommend starting the sing-along.)
