The world’s richest musicians

Spoiler alert: it’s Bono.

Bono-detail_full_for_exchange

That was pretty obvious, right? Bono – the guy who is all about feeding Africa, but also seems to spend $7 mill on blue-lensed spectacles yearly – is crazy rich. Thanks, in part, to purchasing a chunk of Facebook a few years back.

The rest of the ten richest musicians are kind of predictable too, but we were surprised to see the order in which they go.

So here’s the list. Prepare to feel a little sick and a little envious at the same time. (By “a little” we mean “extremely”.)

  1. Bono: $1 billion
  2. Sir Paul McCartney: $800 million
  3. Madonna: $650 million
  4. Mariah Carey: $500 million
  5. Sean “Diddy” Combs: $500 million
  6. Jay-Z: $450 million
  7. Sir Elton John: $309 million
  8. Mick Jagger: $300 million
  9. Sting: $284 million
  10. Keith Richards: $276 million

So let’s all write Keith Richards a letter of commiseration for being so, so poor.
