It seems pretty backwards to eat at an American-themed diner when in the South of France, but Tommy’s Café has such a great reputation and such a fun vibe, it might just be worth it.
Located in Montpellier (in the Languedoc-Roussillon region) Tommy’s is a ‘50s Americana bonanza; vinyl booths, neon lights, rock’n’roll – it’s basically the diner that Marty McFly hangs out at in Back to the Future II.
The food is simple – burgers, fries, shakes and sodas – but good. And the desserts are really where the menu shines: Key Lime pie, banana split, sundaes, waffles, pancakes, brownies, bourbon peacan pie…
America really knows how to make a sweet treat, even in France.
Tommy’s Café is at Pole Ludique Odysseum, Allee Ulysse, 34000 Montpellier, France.
