You may have been white water rafting, but the odds of having been heli-rafting are slim. Some untamed rivers just can’t easily be accessed unless by air, hence the helicopter part. You take a chopper into the jungle or forest, and whitewater raft from there. You’re virtually in the middle of no where. The groups are smaller, the rivers are less explored, and the sights you’ll see are for a very limited number of eyes. If that doesn’t sound exhilarating enough, maybe you need something involving great heights…
As a kid, your parents asked the question “If so-and-so jumped off a bridge, would you do it?” No. Of course not. Why would any sane person jump off a bridge? They probably wouldn’t, unless they have a giant bungy chord attached to them. Bungy jumping is not for the faint of heart. Swan diving off a bridge with rocks at the bottom can induce a heart attack but it’s worth the risk! The only thing that gets more extreme than that would be jumping out of a plane…
If jumping off a bridge sounds like a thrill, try jumping out of a plane that’s flying 12,500 feet above ground. Skydiving is neither for the faint of heart nor those who are scared of heights (well, you could theoretically keep your eyes closed the entire time). Whether you’re falling from the skies above a dessert, mountain, jungle, or ocean, the views will take your breath away, if voluntarily jumping out of a plane hasn’t already done it.
The good news for you is all of these excursions are available on a the 'Sweet As' South Contiki trip. The better news is you can look stylish for the countless photo opps with the help of Shopcade:
