Topshop’s autumn/winter 2012 collection is full of heavy coats and overalls and lots of pieces that could be frumpy, but somehow aren’t.
There are also a lot of patterns – dark florals, houndstooth, camouflage, plaid tweed – which blend classic and traditional looks with stuff that’s a little more current.
The lookbook was shot in a chilly looking forest, but the girls look all cosy and rugged up in their garb. We especially like the floral motorcycle jacket (which is half masculine and half feminine) and the black and army green overcoat that looks so toasty warm that we kind of can’t wait for next winter to wear it.
Or maybe it’s a good excuse to travel to the northern hemisphere to wear it even sooner!
