Crave

Tramshed, London

Damian Hirst vs Mark Hix.

Tramshed-detail_full_for_exchange

If you’re a sensitive vegetarian – certainly if you’re vegan – Tramshed might make you barf.

Steak and chicken are always on the menu, but the menu is simple; diners can choose form just three or so starters and main courses and four desserts. (Shout outs to the smoked Cornish mackerel with mixed beets and horseradish entrée!)

What is really special about this restaurant, apart from the food, is the crazy art. Yup, you can eat your dinner right next to a giant piece by Damian Hirst. The gazillionaire artist created three artworks for the eatery – a huge cow and a cockerel.

The downstairs bar offers cocktails and snacks all day in case you want to have a quick look, but not commit to a huge meal.

Pretty amazing.

Tramshed is at 32 Rivington Street, London.
