Full disclosure: we’d not heard of the small town in Portugal called Agueda until we came across this totally delightful and magical art installation.
In the town centre, hundreds of brightly coloured umbrellas have been hung a floor above street level creating a kind of ceiling – which is useful to shade people from the summer sun, but isn’t just functional. It also creates the façade that the umbrellas are floating, and it looks wonderful.
Unfortunately we’re still not sure who is responsible for the installation, but if you happen to be in Portugal (hello, lucky) we reckon it looks like a very cute spot to visit.
(And imagine how jealous your Instagram mates will be.)
